RECIPES

CARROT PHIRNI

Ingredients:
Milk - 1 litre
Grated carrot - 1 1/2 cups
Sugar - 3/4 cups
Rawa - 3 level tbl sps
Cashewnut powder - 1 tbl sps(heaped)
Saffron - little

Method:
1. Cook carrots in milk till it becomes soft.
2. Add sugar and stir till it is dissolved.
3. Sprinkle rawa to the milk stirring constantly without forming lumps.
4. Add cashewnut powder and cook till mixture becomes thick.
5. Crush saffron in warm milk and mix with phirini before removing from fire.
6. Serve cold in small individual cups.

Good attempt. Wish you good luck. I will ask my wife 'Kannamma' to make some Carrot Phirni for me when I go home this Sunday after a month long business.
